As you may know our old contract agreement between canadian nuclear laboratory, CNL and the international association of machinist and aerospace workers local 608 ended march 31, 2024.
Negotiations for the new contract began on the 24th – 26th of february, 2025. Second round took place just recently April 8th – 10th, 2025 in the town of Pinawa at the lewis center.
Your committee members are Tom Turner -President, Grant Pachkowsky -vice president, as well as Sherry Parisian, Siggi Schuhmann, Henry Dube, and spares Ed loewen and Lawrence Dori. Bernie Wood our international representative helped us out in a big way and we hope he sticks around, however, talking about sticking around, there will be some changes in the committee as Tom turner is retiring and won’t be part of the upcoming negotiation meeting.
On our last day of bargaining in this round, Sherry surprised us with a home made carrot cake which we all shared on both sides of the table- wishing Tom all the best on his new endeavour.
