Apprenticeship Program Making a Comeback

About a year ago, Grant Pachkowsky set out to bring back something that had once existed here but had long been forgotten — an Apprenticeship Program. He worked hard to get the idea off the ground, seeing it as not only a chance for people to learn a skilled trade but also a way to attract new talent to the Millwright department, which is running short on manpower.

This past spring, after several meetings and with the support of management, the company officially came on board, and an Apprenticeship Committee was created.

Interest followed quickly, with several employees stepping forward. Each participant was given a week to shadow the Millwrights, gaining first hand experience and a better idea whether this could be their future career path.

The next step will be for those individuals to formally apply and move through the process set out by CNL.

Just like Duma, each of you brings something valuable to the table, and each of you will take something away. Life is a journey with many paths, and today you are choosing one of the most important – a path of learning and growth.

Every skill you master and every lesson you carry forward brings you closer to building not just a career, but a future you can be proud of.

You guys have been awesome, and i truly wish you the best of luck as you keep moving forward.
